Its okay for Blackbeard to be the rule-breaker of the series.
But Shillew?, Better keep Absalom super dead. Or we'll be switching fruits all over the place, Knowing no one really dies getting theirs extracted.
Wow, people still thinking Absalom isn't dead.
"There will be an answer, let it be."
Can someone explain me again what the benefit is of attacking Kaido etc. during the festival when all of his strong followers are in one place? Instead of, for example, ganging up on individual calamities when they are casually strolling around minding their everyday business, which they should have enough men for, then just have your A-list gang up on Kaido while the rest keeps the fodder busy?
They plan on attacking when they're drunk and vulnerable. The fire festival also coincides with the full moon, so Sulong is also a very handy option they can utilize when things inevitably turn into a full blown war.
Saying they'll just gang up on a random Calamity and take them out without alerting the other enemy forces (which includes other Calamities, one of which can fly) is incredibly unrealistic. And if the A-list is focusing on Kaido, then who's left to reliably take on the Calamities in the first place?
The problem with One Piece is that armies are usually presented as hopelessly underpowered compared to several super powered individuals who can single-handedly take on hundreds and thousands of fodder. Also, the stronger pirates are generally characterized as being immune to large alcohol consumption, especially Kaido himself (who one-shotted Luffy despite his state). Thus, it makes sense to gang up on those few strong individuals and severely weaken the enemy so you can immediately concentrate on the main target before he calls his weaker but still annoying reinforcements.
Kaido isn't immune though? He clearly gets drunk extremely easily. He's just that strong despite that, though I'm pretty sure Luffy killed his buzz when he kept attacking him. Though that is besides the point. In-universe, characters aren't going around thinking that they're too strong to be drunk, which again, isn't a good argument anyhow when Kaido is a huge drunkard. The point of the fire festival is to attack them when they're all least expecting it, them likely being drunk just helps with that.
Anyways, again, your alternative is flawed because there's no realistic way to single out a Calamity, much less kill one in a timely fashion, without other Beast Pirates/Orochi's forces knowing about it. Whether it's a Calamity or Kaido himself, they'll still get alerted. Instead of waiting for a minimum of 3 super convenient opportunities to arrive for each Calamity (This alternative also weirdly dismisses the Flying Six, Numbers, etc.), the fire festival gives them a unique opportunity to handle Kaido and the bulk of his forces in one go while they're vulnerable. Then factor in Sulong, and it's easy to see why they're putting all their eggs into this particular basket.
Absalom is the one weird case where he's maybe actually dead, but it literally doesn't matter because we might see the exact same guy with a slightly different personality running around later. Or his already psuedo-zombie status makes him an exception.
He's a weird outlier given his unique setup and the guy he works for. His devil fruit passing on says dead, but not happening on camera says "there is an out". Him being a rare character Oda gives no shits about means maybe he's dead, but the fact he was getting a background story gig as a news reporter, and that Perona wants to reunite with her crew means... something?
He's a Schrodinger's Cat.

Sure, but for intents and purposes of the story the character, more or less, isn't necessarily 100% gone forever, so its a weird case. Like, Oda may not care about killing him as much because he'll more or less be back (and less rapey) compared to the usual "dead is dead forever".

I don't see it being discussed here. Kiku said to Kinemon that Otsuru didn't notice her/him, but she indeed noticed. The question is whether Kiku lied or Otsuru simply suppressed her knowledge.
The One Piece staff made a correction to the chapter on twitter: https://twitter.com/Eiichiro_Staff/status/1186130040389423104
The flashback doesn't start 39 years ago, but 41 years ago.

Why doesn't Kinemon make the scabbards some scuba suits?
Here's to hoping Kinemon eventually will be able to copy Sanji's raid suit for a large group, or at least make some samurai armor for the whole army, I wouldn't even find it an ass-pull if he awakened his devil fruit to do it, his emotions are running high and he's had his devil fruit for a long time i'm assuming. Also I have a bad feeling the sunny was sunk and going to need a lot of repairs at the end of this arc which is fine because hopefully that means we wont have another arc resolved by "okay us Strawhats have to get the hell out of here now" which is interesting because with all these powerhouses in one spot and more powerhouses likely on the way I don't see how this is going to end well but I am sure Oda will make it work in a grand fashion.
A dead body still casts a shadow...Is it possible to re-animate a dead person by putting their own dead shadow into them? Even if it means also stuffing a living shadow into them so the original body's personality can still be in the driver's seat?
Anyway, with Kinemon in this situation, some major outside backup arriving just in time would be rockin' awesome, and if they're short on ships, since he was just mentioned, Jimbei showing up with something big enough to carry everybody and he'll just push it from the water would be awesome.
Orochi be like

Spoiler:
Kozuki family crest being a bird, and the whole Giant Egg on Gol's ship seems like there could possibly be a connection there but who knows.
P.S. I just found out Bepo has an older brother and that's why he left Zou (to find him) now I really want to meet him :(
