    I'll just copy paste myself from the Lupin thread here.

    While i'll always be more of a soft edges anime Lupin kinda guy you gotta respect the man behind the character itself. Not that i didn't enjoy the manga too, but it was a little too incoherent and rapey at times. Still dude created one of the greatest characters of the anime world and he seems to have lived a full life beyond that.

    American Sci Fi and Fantasy Author Gene Wolfe passed away on the 14th. He was a tremendous author and will be missed.

    Animator Chris Reccardi also passed away at age fifty-four; Reccardi worked on a ton of films and television shows; everything from Ren & Stimpy to The Lego Movie. He also cocreated the Modifyers with his wife Lynne Naylor but Nickelodeon passed on the project.
    Complicating things since 2009.
