Uncle Ruckus in an actual position of authority feels weird.

But we'll all have a to send up a prayer to white jesus that it all works out.

With McGruder on I'm sold since all of his work has been good including both seasons of Black Jesus. If I had to guess things it'll talk about I'd wager:

    1. Me Too, specifically in reference to R Kelly and Bill Cosby.
    2. Wokeness
    3. Trans-Race (Rachel Dolezal)
    4. Gentrification
    5. The new crop of rappers. (The Breakfast Club Radio Program will make an appearance)
    6. NBA team ups
    7. Riley (Trump) vs Grandad (Bernie) vs Huey (No one)
    8. Cancel Culture
    9. Kanye

Them tackling Kanye would be hella dated I mean even South Park took the piss out of him how long ago was that?

Same thing with NBA Superteams & Trans race.

Though it would interesting to see them do a follow up on "The Trial Of Robert Kelly".

Kanye in 2008 and Kanye in 2019 are two completely different beasts, which is the fascinating part. If Ruckus is the Trump figure, I could see Kanye being his only black supporter. The NBA superteams is more of a vehicle for Riley than anything else, an unexplored opportunity. Trans Race would tie into Trans people in general, with Riley probably being put off by it, and also just seems like something that they can't pass up given Ruckus's mental state. Anyway, these are just my opinions on things that could be interesting. Not sure what's really popping on Black twitter in 2019.

HBO Max has ordered a two-season revival of the animated series “The Boondocks.”

The 24 new epsiodes, as well as all 55 episodes of the original series, will launch on the forthcoming streaming service in Fall 2020. Original creator Aaron McGruder is one again behind the series.

Once aired on Adult Swim, “The Boondocks” chronicles the battles of the Freeman family against the evil local government tyrant Uncle Ruckus, who rules fictional Woodcrest County Maryland, with an iron fist.

“‘The Boondocks’ was a revolutionary series that sparked conversations on hot button issues and brought dark subjects into the light with episodes like ‘The Trial of Robert Kelly’, ‘The Fundraiser’ and ‘The Story of Gangstalicious’,” said Kevin Reilly, chief content officer for HBO Max and president of TBS, TNT and truTV. “Aaron is a gifted visionary whose unique style of storytelling is a welcome voice and we are elated The Freemans are making their thugnificent comeback on HBO Max.”

The new series follows the adventures of self-proclaimed “Civil Rights Legend” Robert “Granddad” Freeman, and his two rambunctious grandsons Huey and Riley. The family has recently moved to an idyllic community in suburban Maryland only to see it taken over by the tyrannical Uncle Ruckus and his bizarre neo-fascist regime. Life under Ruckus turns out to be an everyday struggle to survive.

“There’s a unique opportunity to revisit the world of The Boondocks and do it over again for today. It’s crazy how different the times we live in are now – both politically and culturally – more than a decade past the original series and two decades past the original newspaper comic. There’s a lot to say and it should be fun,” said McGruder.

John Witherspoon passed away today, can't see Boondocks working without Robert Freeman.
