Yeah, well, Austin never left as far as I know, he frequently contributes to WWE and you can see him quite often on the ring as a referee, special guest etc. At least one wrestler who cares about the good of the company even after he retired!

O.O what the?
In a bizaree incident WWE wrestler Tyler Reks apparently freaked out as a flight was minutes away from taking off at the airport in Green Bay, WI, on Wednesday morning. Reks, who was traveling home to Tampa from the Smackdown/ECW television tapings, who we understand holds a private pilot license, complained to flight crew that he observed a strange movement on the flaps of the wing. He caused panic among other passengers by saying that the movement on the flap wasn't supposed to happen and that the plane was unsafe. He then demanded to be deboarded. A well-placed source even commented that Reks blurted out, paraphrased, "If anyone else on the plane doesn't want to die, they should get off the plane too." The pilot decided that they didn't want to take any chances with him disrupting the flight or distressing other passengers so they returned to the terminal and escorted him off the plane. The flight was then delayed which irked a lot of WWE people. Reks, real name Gabe Tuft, was recently called up to ECW from developmental with a surfer gimmick. He hasn't been used on television since November.

The word going around WWE is that John Cena is suffering from a back injury.

Reports indicate that Cena is suffering from a few bulging discs, which can be very painful and might require surgery.

Not much more is known about the injury at this time and the severity is hard to assess.

Nonetheless, it does appear that Cena's condition is the reason Cena will not be wrestling WWE Champion Sheamus at the Royal Rumble.

And a newbit about bret hart
Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

- Bret Hart first contacted WWE in February of 2009 to let them know that he was open to returning for a storyline. Hart's girlfriend was going to school in Calgary and he would be based out of Calgary for a few years instead of Hawaii, where he had been. Bret was getting bored with retirement and thought of getting back into wrestling.

Bret notes that there were times when WWE seemed interested and other times when they really didn't seem interested in his return at all. He told them a few times that if they weren't that interested, he was fine with that and then he would always hear immediately back from them with interest. Talks for this year's WrestleMania angle got serious last September.

There is a storyline in place through WrestleMania between Hart and Vince McMahon with hope for some sort of street fight or at least a showdown between the two at WrestleMania. Due to concussions from the past and his stroke in 2002, Hart is very limited to what he can do in the ring. He can't take a traditional flat back bump. Obviously challenges like these could affect what happens between Bret and Vince. The original script for the RAW angle a few weeks back was for Vince to slap Bret in the face. Because of the concussion issue, they changed it to a kick in the stomach. It actually ended up being a kick to the groin from Vince, a miscue that Bret felt made the segment better.

Both Bret and WWE have laid out the basic details of the storyline and agreed on them. Each side has veto power regarding minor details. Hart is scheduled to return at next week's RAW and is scheduled to be a regular on RAW through February. Bret's contract with WWE is for through April and is only for this storyline. Bret is said to be open to ideas if WWE is interested in using him past that point and is open to signing a longer contract. If no contract would be offered, he is still open to appearing on the occasional show for the next few years while he's mostly based out of Calgary.

Other sources report that revealing Bret's stroke from 2002 in the storyline has been talked about. Apparently it will be a significant part of the angle at some point. Bret's concussion issue is less likely to be brought up because it's such a sensitive issue right now.

On the plane trip from Hawaii to RAW, Bret's sciatic nerve in his lower back was acting up badly, causing concern that he would be limping to the ring. Bret rested after the trip and was pain free by the time RAW came on Monday night.

I'm glad Bret has managed to put down what happened in the past and decided to work with WWE and Vince again.
Kudos to you, Bret.

Well to be fair you don't often see two heels going head to head much less for a title belt.

^ True, but that means a high chance of Orton becoming champ. And I still have trouble enjoying him when's he's got a belt for some reason. Personal thing.

Spoiler:
Plus, they might be playing Orton as a Face in the match (as part of a rumored turn). 'Randy Orton' and 'Face' in the same sentence just doesn't seem right...

I'd agree, but then AJ Styles went heel tonight. I mean, if TNA's hometown hero can go heel, then even someone as wicked as Orton could turn face.

Fuck TNA.
I'm getting irritated with them. Seriously, they took in Kennedy and retained his gimmick in during his WWE tenure?
How creative can they get?

Here is the main reason why, Eddie Kingston is fucking awesome. The part I'm talking about starts at the 3 minutes and 18 mark of the video.

Now thats how you end the damn thing. I wated to see Harnfucker get Super kicked or knocked out because i hate that fucking bastard.

But HHH as a heel is something I really miss, hes always been a heel when i watched wrestling and hes so damn good at it. Although the lack of cursing is making me irritated now since the heels need a bit of attitude, which HHH always had.

All in all, it was a decent episode.

I loved Vince's opening monologue and loved Taker's interruption even more. Fantastic set-up for everything. It looks great.

That decides it. Shawn Michaels is winning the Royal Rumble. And his final elimination is gonna be HHH. Count on it.

Don Johnson was pretty boring. Jon Heder was annoying as hell, but at least he actually seemed really excited and involved in the show. He looked ridiculous with his "Flame" get-up. Haha at King saying he was whiter than Sheamus.

I was actually really mad that Sheamus beat Evan Bourne again. With Orton at ringside, it was a great opportunity to give him a big win. He's been stuck on such a terrible losing streak. I really hope he gets some better treatment soon. The best thing would be once Miz beats MVP for the US title (oh, and he will!) to have Evan Bourne be the next contender. Bourne is a great wrestler and would be extremely suited to place in the US title situation.

Jack Swagger got humiliated again! I seriously want to know who he pissed off. He's looked like a chump for months, despite putting out great matches.

John Cena & Kofi Kingston defeating Legacy wasn't a surprise, but I kind of wanted Legacy to win. Just like Andy said a while back, I really don't like how two randomly thrown together singles wrestlers always beat the established tag teams. I'm actually hoping Legacy stays together for a while, so I hope Cody and Ted don't feud.

Eve & Gail Kim v Maryse & Alicia Fox was okay as a tag match. Eve's first drop kick was laughably off the mark. Guarantee that the finals will be Maryse v Gail Kim.

Randy Orton v Chris Masters was a good match. I liked that Masters didn't get buried and put up a good challenge. The Masterlock looked really good. I was thinking he would reach back and RKO him while he was in the Masterlock, but I suppose that could hurt someone with the dangers in a full nelson. Still think it was funny that King said "Randy Savage." It's been like 15 years since he's been in WWE. But since Sheamus took a cheap shot on Orton, and Orton just seemed to take the high road by not attacking Sheamus, I'm thinking Orton will indeed turn face for RR. I predict that next week, Sheamus will try a sneak bicycle kick on Orton after his match again, but Orton will dodge and hit an RKO to big cheers.

The DX and Hornswoggle v Miz, Big Show and Jon "Flame" Heder was pretty weak. Then again, it was pretty much meant to be a joke. But the Sweet Chin Music on Big Show looked like it hit him straight in the throat! It looked harsh!

I liked the RR set-up with everyone saying they're going for it, but I firmly believe it is going to be Shawn Michaels winning the Rumble and, this is the bold prediction, defeating Undertaker for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania!!!

I don't like the idea of Taker's streak ending at WM. He should end his career with the undefeated streak intact, IMO.

As far as wrestling is concerned, no one should ever go out on top. Yes, Taker's streak is great, but you should give up the ball and pass the torch. I mean Andre the Giant was undefeated for like 15 years or something and let Hogan break it. He's got to lose before he leaves and if HBK doesn't do it this year, it will most likely be Cena.

Too bad if thats true....well HBK has been at it for a very long time just like Taker so i could accept SM beating him.

As long as its not someone out of the roster now, if someone like Kane, or Stone Cold or anyone whos been with the company for more than 10+ years or 15(Who is a already KNOWN name) i would accept it.

But a new guy like Cena....Naaaaaw, that wouldnt be enjoyable.
